1 FOOTWEAR TRACTION DEVICE Diamond Grip’s traction device attaches dozens of case-hardened, alloy steel grippers
to the bottom of a shoe or boot. The patented six-pointed “diamond beads” are strung on steel aircraft cable and put hundreds of
biting edges under the heel and the ball of the foot to grip the slickest ice or hardest packed snow. The design spreads the load
evenly from heel to toe, and the rubber sling that secures it to a shoe or boot never touches the walking surface, eliminating wear.
Designed for all-day wear on ice and snow, the devices are durable enough for the transition across asphalt and cement and are
easy to put on and take off.
2 SWITCH ABB Low Voltage Products Division’s 600V and 200 kA heavy-duty safety switches offer touch-safe visible blades and
operating mechanisms that are fully enclosed and protected from dirt and debris. All enclosure types come with gaskets, have a
spacious interior and no sharp edges. They range from 30–1,200A and are available as fused and nonfused with Types 1/12/3R/4X
steel or stainless-steel enclosures.
3 JACKET Bosch’s PSJ120 women’s heated jacket is powered by a Bosch 12V Max lithium-ion battery connected to the BHB120
battery holster that also keeps USB-compatible cell phones and other electronics charged. It has two chest and one back quick-warming core heat zones that provide up to six hours of heated runtime on low heat level with a 2.0 Ah, 12V max battery. It has a
tailored fit, is made of water- and wind-resistant polyester with a battery-storage pocket, two hand pockets, one cell phone chest
pocket and one large inner document pocket.
4 METER DENT Instruments’ PowerScout 3037 revenue-grade networked power meter monitors voltage, current, power, energy
and other electrical parameters on single- and three-phase systems. Features include a USB port for quick setup, optional display
for diagnostics and reading real-time values, and DIN rail mounting. In addition to Modbus and BACnet communications, Serial RS-
485 and Ethernet communications are available in the same unit. Toggle between communication methods, protocols and other
parameters in the field using the USB port and ViewPoint software.
5 MULTIMETER Global Specialties’ LCR- 58 tweezer meter is designed to be small enough for one-hand operation on surface-mounted devices. It has a display of 6,000 counts, two-times-per-second sampling, automatic polarity with negative indication,
battery status and over-range indication. It can measure inductance, capacitance and resistance with an accuracy of 1–3 percent.
It also has a diode test function and is easy to carry and use due to its small size and light weight.
6 MOBILE APP Greenlee’s PullCalc pulling calculator app finds the approximate pull force needed to install electrical cable
inside conduit. The pull force is calculated by “legs,” straight runs of conduit followed by a bend. The force needed for each leg is
found when app users enter information regarding the materials being used for the cable insulation into PullCalc. It is available
free on Apple’s i Tunes Store and the Google Play Store.
